UNC Chapel Hill Kenan Center

Situated at the top of a hill on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus, the Kenan Center blends the historical features endemic to the University in a contemporary interpretation. Funded by the William R. Kenan, Jr., Charitable Trust, the Center houses the Institute of Private Enterprise, established as a national center for the study of entrepreneurship, small business and other issues affecting the nation’s economic system.

The building includes spaces ranging from meeting and seminar rooms to honorific public areas and intimate guest rooms. The second floor conference facilities include a tiered room which accommodates 125 people. Additional meeting rooms are housed on the third and fourth floors. In addition, two dining rooms can accommodate 150 people. Natural lighting was used whenever possible to illuminate the interiors.
