Terminal 1 Renovation

Built in 1982, Terminal 1 was originally intended to be a temporary passenger terminal.  It evolved into an expanded and permanent terminal as years went by.  In early 2012 a major renovation to update and improve ticketing, bag claim, concourse, restrooms and the exterior was begun.  Shops, restaurants and other travel amenities were added. O’Brien Atkins’ role on this team was MEP Engineer of Record, responsible for the mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems design.
